On April 7th, 2016, Alyssa Hearin from 7&4 news, interviewed Debbie about the Lab expansion and new programs and services. See both spots on UpNorthLive.com.
Debbie was interviewed for a documentary entitled "A View of the Bay: Small Businesses" in May 2015, which details the impact small businesses have on the local economy.
The Traverse City Business News included SOS in an article titled, "Local Micro Loans Spur Small Businesses," December 2014.
Debbie was featured in the Record Eagle on July 20th, 2014 in an article titled, "SOS Seeks to Redefine Education".
Debbie's story, "For the Love of Carlee" appeared in the January/February 2014 issue of Grand Traverse Woman.

SOS presents at the L.I.F.E. Transition Conference every year at the Grand Traverse Resort. MRS, TBAISD, and Disability Network organize this annual conference for area high school students with disabilities. The students attend sessions related to skills they will need for life outside of high school. SOS's session focuses on organizational strategies and tools that will help students as they prioritize their many obligations and activities.
SOS Learning Lab is a member of the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce.
SOS participates as an educational resource on the Grand Traverse Wrap Around Community Team.
SOS participated in Moving Ahead... A Journey into Adulthood Workshop at the TBAISD Career Tech Center in November 2016.
In October 2016, SOS participated in the West Senior High Fall Festival with information for parents and students showcasing our many educational services.
As 2016 Cherry Festival Ambassadors, Team SOS volunteered for the Fun and Games Speciel Kids day at the check-in table. We also organized a youth team to help with barricade set-up and tear-down for all of the Cherry Festival parades.
SOS had a vendor booth at AC Paw's 20th Anniversary Reunion on June 21st, 2015.
Team SOS became 2015 Cherry Festival Ambassadors and volunteered for the Fun and Games for Special Kids event. We worked with ACT to help kids paint a mural on the side of an Elmer's semi-truck! Team SOS also marched in the 2015 Junior Royale Parade, spreading the word about our services and programs, as well as introducing Blind Finn to the community. What a fun festival!
